WhitfordThe Battle of Glorieta Pass: The Colorado Volunteers in the Civil War by William Whitford. Paperback (March 1990). First published in 1906, Whitford's study of the people and events of Civil War New Mexico has the advantage of temporal proximity. Nevertheless it is a worthwhile resource, especially for its photos of many of the commanders, particularly the captains of the Colorado Volunteers.
